Galloway Named APAC Communications Manager

ATLANTA, Sep 13, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Deborah L. Galloway has been named communications manager for Ashland Paving And Construction, Inc. (APAC), a division of Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH). The announcement was made by Martha C. Johnson, vice president, Communications and Corporate Affairs, Ashland Inc.

Galloway is responsible for APAC's communications planning and execution, including brand management and positioning, employee communications, media relations, advertising and collateral material, web content, trade shows and related activities.

Galloway most recently served as manager of global marketing communications for the specialty plastics division of Eastman Chemical Company (Kingsport, Tenn.). She has experience in the construction industry as director of communications for Space Master International (Atlanta, Ga.). Her background also includes a position as director of marketing for American Network Services, a support network for the legal profession, and various posts with Atlanta-based advertising and public relations agencies. She received bachelor's and master's degrees from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
