Ashland announces global intermediates and specialty solvents price increase

WILMINGTON, Del. - Ashland Specialty Ingredients, a commercial unit of Ashland, Inc. (NYSE: ASH), said today it will increase the price of its portfolio of intermediates and specialty solvents sold globally effective January 1, 2014, or as contracts allow. Prices for 1,4 Butanediol (BDO) and its downstream derivatives will increase up to $0.08/kg.
