    Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer

    Vito Consiglio joined Ashland in July 2016 as vice president, Personal and Home Care.  He was promoted to group vice president in July 2017 and in January 2018, took on new and expanded responsibilities as group vice president, Consumer Specialties which includes Personal and Home Care, Pharma, Nutrition and Agriculture.  In October 2018, Vito was promoted to senior vice president, chief commercial officer and is responsible for Ashland’s entire commercial portfolio, which includes Consumer and Industrial Specialties businesses and Intermediates and Solvents.

    Consiglio has more than 30 years of significant experience in global and Fortune 500 companies servicing a variety of specialty markets with a 24-year focus on ingredients and materials. Prior to joining Ashland, he was vice president, Carpenter Technology Corporation. Previously, he worked in private equity for Doughty Hanson and Company as vice president, for Norit Activated Carbon. His experience also includes various leadership positions with Henkel, Morton International, Rohm and Haas, and Danaher Corporation.

    Experienced in delivering double-digit operating profit and building and developing businesses, Consiglio has strength working across regions and functions collaboratively to achieve business goals. He has extensive experience in marketing and finance and a career-long focus on commercial excellence with proven skills in driving innovation from ideation to premium customer sales. He possesses strong analytical skills to rapidly assess issues and opportunities and countermeasure effectively. He is well-versed, trained and certified in world-class problem resolution methodologies in various different industries.                      

    Consiglio earned an MBA in finance and general management from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor's degree in physiology and chemistry from Michigan State University.
