Ashland formally designates Shanghai office as Asia Pacific regional headquarters

SHANGHAI, China - Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH) has formally designated its long-time office in Shanghai as the regional headquarters for the Asia Pacific region. The designation recognizes the role that the Shanghai office has played in providing shared services - including finance, legal, human resources, communications, and information technology - to Ashland's other entities in the Asia Pacific region.

Registered in Shanghai in 2008, Ashland (China) Holdings Co., Ltd. has been certified as China regional headquarters by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce. Ashland's Shanghai office currently employs approximately 230 people.
