Ashland announces composites price increase for North America

DUBLIN, Ohio – Ashland Performance Materials, a commercial unit of Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH), is increasing the price of its portfolio of composite products sold in North America effective Feb.1. Prices for unsaturated polyester resins, gelcoats, pigments and additives will increase by 6 cents per pound, and vinyl ester resins will increase by 9 cents per pound.

The increase is driven by ongoing and significant escalating costs in a majority of the raw materials comprising these products. Responding to changing market conditions allows Ashland to continue to provide innovative products and industry-leading support that add value for customers.
