Ashland announces price increase for maleic anhydride in North America

DUBLIN, Ohio (February 5, 2018) – Ashland announced today it will increase the price of maleic anhydride sold in North America by $0.04/lb. This increase will take effect February 19th or as contracts and price agreements allow.

This increase is driven by high demand and limited supplies for maleic anhydride. Ashland encourages customers to extend order lead times and minimize change orders that complicate the scheduling of transportation equipment and drivers.

Ashland continues to make these decisions with the intent to ensure we are providing our customers with reliable delivery of maleic anhydride and with the highest quality material and service levels.
