Ashland Aqualon Functional Ingredients raises prices for Silipon™ air entraining agents

WILMINGTON, Del. — Ashland Aqualon Functional Ingredients, a commercial unit of Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH), will raise prices for all Silipon™ air entraining agents by 20 to 25 percent effective July 15, or as contracts allow.

The global price action is necessary to offset increases in the cost of key raw materials, notably fatty alcohols. Responding to changing market conditions allows Ashland to continue to invest in new capacity and product innovation to support customers’ growth.
