Ashland Inc. to host analyst day December 4 in New York City with focus on Ashland Specialty Ingredients

COVINGTON, Ky. - Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH), a global leader in specialty chemical solutions for consumer and industrial markets, today announced it will hold an analyst day on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 in New York City. James J. O'Brien, chairman and chief executive officer, along with other members of the company's management team, will present an update on key business strategies and growth initiatives, with a focus on the Ashland Specialty Ingredients commercial unit.  Topics will include long-term growth drivers, market trends, technical differentiation, and new product innovation.
