Ashish Kulkarni Ph.D.
Ashish K. Kulkarni, Ph.D., joined the Ashland Board in May 2024. Mr. Kulkarni is the CEO of Kebotix, a startup company focused on commercializing artificial intelligence methods into new material commercialization. He is the former executive vice president and chief innovation officer of GAF, a role he held from 2020 to 2022. At GAF, Dr. Kulkarni led the company-wide innovation strategy threading together its products, services, business processes and business models. Prior to GAF, Mr. Kulkarni served as the executive vice president and chief technology and innovation officer of Avantor, Inc. (NYSE: AVTR) a global manufacturer and distributor in the biopharmaceutical, healthcare, education and government and advanced technologies and applied materials industries, from 2016 to 2019. At Avantor, Dr. Kulkarni had an impressive record of incubating new technologies and building growth-minded pipelines. Prior to Avantor, Dr. Kulkarni was chief technology and innovation officer at Celanese Corporation from 2010 to 2016. Prior to that Dr. Kulkarni held leadership positions at United Technologies Corporation, American Standard and General Electric.
Dr. Kulkarni received a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His relevant experience over a 28-year career, significant experience in innovation models and methods, R&D, strategic planning, technology including artificial intelligence and robotics technologies for materials, business transformation credentials, and diversity bring relevant and necessary skills, experience, and perspective to the Ashland Board.
